I've recently been talking to some of my fellow skateboarders...
One of them mentioned looking for an 8mm camera to shoot some skate video with.
He was looking for an 8mm with a firewire hook-up/adapter thing.
I was wondering if you guys had any buying tips, maybe where, or approximate costs..
or anything else that I might be able to relay to him...
Brands, etc...
Any information would be really helpfull, and I appreciate the time for answering my querry.

Sounds to me like your friend is looking for a digital 8 video camera.
This site is dedicated to the super 8 film format,not to be confused with 8mm video,hi 8 video or digital 8 video.
To answer your friend's question,Sony who manufactures video 8,Hi 8 and digital 8 would be the place to start.
